Low Vision Clinic & Resource Room

Electronic reading aids in the low vision clinicVisual aids in the Low Vision Clinic Station House has a fully qualified low vision therapist providing clinics in order to give help and advice on making the best use of existing or residual sight. A full assessment is undertaken and low vision aids prescribed if appropriate. This can take up to an hour and is a completely free service. All you are asked to pay for are any magnifiers you may need.

We have a range of products in our Resource Room, which have been designed to enable people with sight problems to live their daily lives more independently. There is a variety of equipment that may help including various types of assitive technology, CCTV's, reading machines and a specially adapted computer all on display.
